Charges filed in death of Bedford County

Bedford police have charged the driver in a fatal crash Monday with reckless driving.
According to the Bedford Police Department, Catherine Hollish, 20, of Bedford was driving a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am on Dawn Drive in Bedford when she struck and killed 53-year-old Bonnie Davis about 6:30 a.m. Davis was crossing Dawn Drive at a crosswalk on her way to her job at Sam Moore Furniture Industries.
Davis, of Bedford County, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Bedford Police Department and the Virginia State Police are still investigating the incident.
